Encounter starts between militants, forces in Khrew Pulwama
Pulwama, May 06: An encounter has reportedly started between government forces and militants in Shaar village of Khrew Pampore belt in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
An official said that on specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area a cordon and search operation was launched by joint team of forces including 50 RR, CRPF and Awantipora Police on Wednesday morning.
As forces zeroed towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces which was retaliated triggering an encounter, he said
He said that some gunshots have been heard and the operation is in progress.
