Qazigund encounter: Three militants killed, searches continue
Srinagar, Apr 27: Three militants were killed in an encounter which broke out between government forces and militants in Lower Munda Area of Qazigund in South Kashmir’s Kulgam District on Monday morning.
Official sources said that three militants were killed in a gunfight. However, the identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained.
Till this report was being filed searches in the area were going on.
Earlier reports said that a joint team of Police and army’s 19 RR launched cordon and search operation in Lower Munda.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering an encounter.(GNS)
