Two dozen sheep killed in leopard attacks in Pulwama, Anantnag
Pulwama: Around two dozen sheep were killed during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday in a leopard attack in South Kashmir’s Anantnag and Pulwama districts.
Official sources said that wild animals barged into the cowsheds in Bellow Pulwama and Watnad Naibasti Anantnag and killed 9 and 15 sheep respectively.
Locals from Bellow village said that 12 sheep have been injured by the wild animals. The locals appealed wild life officials to come to their rescue as their livestock is in danger.
“We fear that leopard will attack tonight again,” they said requesting authorities to curb the movement of wild animals in the area.
