Another trucker killed on Jmu-Sgr highway, three injured

Ramban, Mar 08: One person was killed while as three others were injured in two separate road mishaps at Khooni Nallah area of Banihal-Ramban stretch on NH-44, police said Sunday.
A police official said that a boulder hit a stationary truck bearing registration No RJ04GB-7727 resulting in on spot death of the driver who has been identified as Rao Dev of Rajasthan.
In an another incident, some stones hit a Srinagar bound car bearing registration no JK02AF 0157 resulted in injuries to three persons who were identified as Gulzar Ahmad (20) of Shopian, Muzamil Sheikh (35) and Sayer Ahmad (17) both residents of Bihar.
SSP Ramban Haseeb ur Rehman confirmed the incidents, saying that they are clearing the highway at the moment which is blocked due to shooting stones at many places.
Meanwhile, the vehicular traffic between Jmu-Sgr remained blocked at several places due to landslides and shooting stones triggered by the incessant rainfall at several places between Ramban and Ramsu since yesterday evening. (with inputs from KNO)
