Red Cross J&K kicks off three-day First Aid Training for CRPF

Srinagar: The J&K branch of the Indian Red Cross Society Thursday kicked off a First Aid Training Programme of CRPF personnel at 28 BN Headquarters, Bemina. The Programme was inaugurated by General Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Rajesh Sharma in presence of MO 28 BN Hospital, Dr Suneem Khan and other officials of CRPF and Red Cross.
Sharma while interacting with the CRPF personnel highlighted the selfless services extended by the forces in maintaining peace and harmony throughout the country. He thanked the personnel for donating blood to the society from time to time and assured all possible support and coordination with CRPF in future as well.
The training is being imparted to the first batch of the CRPF personnel whose services shall be utilized during Amarnath Yatra 2019. The training will be imparted to 150 CRPF personnel in 6 batches before commencement of the yatra.
The objective of the training programme is to enhance the life saving skills among the CRPF personnel to act as first medical responders in times of need during Amarnath Yatra and educate the yatris to make them more resilient to accidents. The aim of training is to reduce disaster risks and build resilient First Aiders Force for CRPF in the valley.
The training is being imparted under the supervision Dr Itinderpal Singh Bali, National level Master Trainer, Indian Red Cross Society with the team of Red Cross including Imran Muzaffar, Program Manager, Afroza Mehmood, First Aid Coordinator, Kaiser Ali, Public Relations Manager, IRCS-J&K, Mudasir Maqbool, Sahil Dar and Sheikh Daniyal- all trainers from IRCS-J&K State Branch.
