Kupwara residents fumes over administration for turning Public Park into car parking
Srinagar: The callousness of the district administration in Kupwara can be gauged from the fact that a Public Park constructed by Tourism Department in the main town Kupwara has been now turned into car parking.
Locals have lashed out at the district administration for being a silent spectator against the vandalism.
The Public Park was constructed in 2010 with a cost of around Rs 35 lakh by Lolab-Bungus-Drungyari Tourism Development Authority (LBDTDA) to offer a resting place for locals during their leisure time.
But the locals said that the district administration has allowed the park to go into ruin and snatch the public of a resting place. (KNS)
