Sumbal Rape Case: Girl injured in Sopore amid protests

Sopore: A girl has been injured amid protests by students in Sopore over Sumbal Rape Case on Monday.
Locals said that sudents of degree college and higher secondary including female students held a peaceful protest at Iqbal market.
“As soon as police reached there some youth from protesters pelted stones on police which was retaliated by lobbing some tear smoke shells,” they said.
Clashes erupted thereafter in the area and were ongoing when this report was being filed.
Meanwhile mobile internet service were suspended in sopore and its outskirts.
