Forces lay siege over Darwani Battamaloo, searches launched
Srinagar: Government forces on Monday launched a Cordon and Search Operation in Darwani area of Batamaloo in Srinagar District.
Reports said that a joint team of CRPF, J&K police and Special Operation Group (SOG) Srinagar arrived in the locality and sealed the area.
Sources were quoted by news gathering agency KNO who said that the operation in Darwani Battamaloo was launched following ‘tip off about presence of militants there’.
The searches were going on when this report was being filed.
