Amid CASO, clashes erupt in Pulwama village
Pulwama: Clashes erupted between youth and forces during a Cordon And Search Operation (CASO) in Arihal village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday evening.
Sources said soon after forces laid cordon in the area, youth took to streets and started pelting stones on government forces, which was retaliated by firing of tear smoke and sound shells.
Earlier, the government forces had launched a search operation in the area after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Search operation amid clashes continued till late in the evening.
