Police arrests man in Kupwara, ammunition recovered
Kupwara: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested an individual and recovered incriminating materials including ammunition from his possession.
Police identified the arrested as Mohd Aslam Beigh, S/O Nazir Ahmad Beigh R/O Maidanpora Lolab.
He was arrested at a naka check point and upon his personal search, seized one grenade, besides other incriminating material.
“The individual was planning to join militants , and along with other militants was planning a attack in Kupwara area,” police said.
A case FIR No. 6/2019 under relevant sections has been registered in P/S Kupwara in this matter.
