Kashmir-bound tempo collides with crane in Ambala, 10 of family injured

Ambala: Ten members of a family were injured when their Kashmir-bound Tempo Traveller had a collision with a hydraulic crane on the Ambala-Jagadhri Highway in Haryana early Thursday, police said.
The accident occurred around 4 am near Rampur turn, close to Ambala Cantonment, where the Tempo Traveller, headed to Kashmir from Saharanpur, rammed into a crane taking a turn, they said.
The impact severely mangled the temp and trapped the passengers inside.
Passersby and police rushed all ten members of the family to the Civil Hospital in Ambala.
Four of the injured, including an 11-year-old girl, were referred to PGIMER Chandigarh after their condition was found to be serious.
The injured were identified as Abdul Wahid, Jahangir Alam, Gulfam, Salman, Avdoot, Samat, Misba, Gulafshan, Uzma, and Mahima.
According to the police, they are residents of Peer Wali Gali in Saharanpur.
The family had hired the Tempo Traveller for a holiday trip to Kashmir. The police have registered a case and started an investigation into the incident.
