Rusted mortar shell found in Jammu
Jammu: A rusted mortar shell was unearthed in a forward village near the International Border on the outskirts of Jammu on Saturday, officials said.
Farmer Girdhari Lal unearthed the mortar shell while ploughing his field with a tractor in Chanana village along the Arnia border belt, the officials said.
They said he immediately informed the border outpost Chanaz, and accordingly, a bomb disposal squad was rushed to the scene.
The explosive shell was safely defused by the experts, the officials said.
