Situation in POJK is critical and alarming: BJP Leader
Srinagar, June 11: Taking serious concerns on the large scale killings of civilians in Pakistan Occupied Jammu Kashmir where more than hundred persons have lost their lives at the hands of police and security forces , Chief Spokesperson of Jammu and Kashmir Bhartiya Janata Party Sunil Sethi said that the only crime of the people who are under illegal occupation of Pakistan is that they are asking for development and acknowledgment of their fundamental rights
In a statement issued here, Sethi said that the people of POJK are living life in hell with no regard for basic human rights. They are looking to development model of Jammu and Kashmir particularly after PM Modi took command of the country.
“The people in POJK are asking for same rights that their counter parts are enjoying in Jammu and Kashmir and in return are getting bullets,” Sethi added.
Sunil Sethi further noted with concern that people belonging to India legally and held in POJK because of failure of Congress leadership to take back areas of POJK militarily in 1947 are still waiting for independence which never came to them.
The chief spokesperson also said that situation in POJK should be an eye opener for Pak supporters in Jammu and Kashmir who had been instigating generations and using them as fuel terror activities.
“Pakistan has been a failed state since independence and is repeating same blunders and atrocities in POJK as was done in Bangladesh and results will be no different. Bullets fired by Pakistan forces won’t be enough to extinguish the desire for independence expressed by the people of POJK,” Sethi added.
