FICCI FLO JK&L Hands over computers, emergency lights to MLA Zadibal
Srinagar: In continuation of its efforts to empower artisans and craftsmen through digital inclusion and community support, FICCI FLO Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh (JK&L) handed over five computers and over 100 emergency lights to Tanvir Sadiq, MLA, Zadibal.
The initiative follows FICCI FLO JK&L’s recent outreach in Srinagar, where the organisation conducted an eye screening camp and the iCAM programme aimed at strengthening digital literacy and entrepreneurial capabilities among artisans, a statement issued by the organisation said.
The outreach was supported by the Maharaja Hari Singh Trust, represented by Kunwarani Ritu Singh, National Initiative Head – Visual Arts, FICCI FLO, and Lakshyam NGO, represented by Varuna Anand, National Initiative Head – Handicrafts and Textiles, FICCI FLO.
“At FICCI FLO JK&L, we are committed to creating meaningful impact through initiatives that promote healthcare, digital empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods. This contribution is a step towards ensuring that artisans and local communities have access to the tools and resources they need to thrive,” Varsha Bansal, Chairperson, FICCI FLO JK&L said during the event.
Appreciating the initiative, Tanvir Sadiq, said “I commend FICCI FLO JK&L for its remarkable efforts in supporting artisans and craftsmen through meaningful initiatives. I look forward to working closely with FICCI FLO JK&L on future programmes focused on women’s empowerment and community development.” Executive Committee members present on the occasion included Aarti Chowdhary, Rupika Sahai, Sona Mehta, Shipra Aggarwal, and Tanisha Pallan, along with FLO members Tamina Naseem, Mahreen Kabra, and Saba Shafi.
