PM Modi wishes Vice President Radhakrishnan on birthday
New Delhi, May 4 (PTI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday greeted Vice President C P Radhakrishnan on his birthday and said he is making numerous efforts to strengthen the collective dream of building a developed India.
Radhakrishnan, who took charge as the vice president of India on September 12, 2025, turned 69 on Monday.
“Warm birthday greetings to Vice President Thiru C P Radhakrishnan Ji. He is making numerous efforts to strengthen our collective dream of building a Viksit Bharat.
“His consistent efforts to enhance the productivity and effectiveness of our Parliamentary proceedings reflect his deep commitment to democratic values,” Modi said in a post on X.
Equally inspiring is Radhakrishnan’s unwavering passion for all-round development, with a concern for the poor and marginalised, the prime minister said.
“His public life continues to be guided by dedication, discipline and a clear sense of purpose. I pray for his good health, happiness and a long life in the service of the nation,” Modi said.
Prior to his election as the vice president, Radhakrishnan served as the governor of Maharashtra for a little more than one year.
Before that, he was the governor of Jharkhand for nearly one-and-a-half years.
He also briefly held additional charge as the governor of Telangana and the lieutenant governor of Puducherry.
