Police arrests four persons involved in gambling in Baramulla
Srinagar: Police in Baramulla apprehended four persons involved in gambling at Warapora near Government High School Warapora, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
Acting on reliable information, a police party swiftly reached the spot and conducted a raid, during which four individuals were tactfully apprehended. They have been identified as Mashooq Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Sultan Bhat resident of Mullabangil, Mohammad Lateef Bhat son of Mohammad Sultan Bhat resident of Mullabangil, Javid Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Asadullah Bhat resident of Mullabangil and Manzoor Ahmad Bhat son of Farooq Ahmad Bhat resident of Mullabangil. During the operation, playing cards and cash amounting to ₹4,200/- were recovered from their possession.
Accordingly, a case under FIR No. 26/2026 has been registered and investigation has been taken up, the spokesman added.
