Parents, students unite against drug menace at PM SHIRI GHS Laharwalpora, Bandipora

Bandipora: In a rare and inspiring show of collective responsibility, parents and students came together at PM SHIRI Government Secondary School Laharwalpora, Bandipora, to raise a united voice against the growing threat of substance abuse among youth.
An impactful awareness programme was organized at the school to address the alarming rise and devastating consequences of drug abuse among youngsters. The event witnessed active participation from students, parents, and teachers, reflecting a shared commitment to safeguarding the future of the younger generation.
Experts present on the occasion delivered insightful sessions, shedding light on the causes, consequences, and preventive measures related to substance abuse. Setting a deeply emotional and powerful tone for the programme, the Head of Institution and award-winning educator, Javaid Jawad, joined students in a moving rendition of “Nasha Barbaad Karta Hai”, a thought-provoking composition by renowned poet Rafiq Tahir Kawchecki.
