Attack on Farooq Abdullah should be condemned in Assembly: Parra
Jammu, Mar 28: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) legislator Waheed Ur Rehman Parra on Saturday called for condemning the recent attack on Farooq Abdullah, saying no individual should be left vulnerable.
Raising the issue in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, MLA Parra said there should be a consensus that political leaders and citizens must not face threats to their lives, and urged the government to take a firm stand.
He also alleged lapses in providing adequate security to political figures, and referred to past instances where leaders faced threats and displacement.
MLA Parra said the House should acknowledge the security lapse and ensure necessary corrective measures to prevent such incidents in future. (KNS)
