JK assembly adjourned for half an hour amid pandemonium
Jammu, Mar 27: The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly was adjourned for half an hour amid pandemonium over National Law University issue, killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader.
Notably, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislators staged a protest inside the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, demanding the establishment of a National Law University (NLU) in Jammu, as the second phase of the Budget Session commenced.
The MLAs raised slogans and held placards inside the House, seeking clarity from the government on the proposed location of the university. They said Jammu has long been deprived of premier educational institutions and demanded an immediate decision.
The protest briefly disrupted normal proceedings at the start of business.
