Srinagar, Feb 18: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday congratulated the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team for scripting history by entering their maiden Ranji Trophy final.

In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor, said, “Congratulations to J&K cricket team on their magnificent victory in Ranji Trophy semi-final! You have etched a new golden chapter in the sporting history of J&K. Entire UT is proud of your extraordinary performance. May you continue this winning momentum and bring glory to J&K.”

J&K sealed their place in the final with a comprehensive win over Bengal cricket team in the semi-final at Kalyani.

Chasing 126 runs for victory, the side achieved the target comfortably after bundling out Bengal for 99 in their second innings, thanks to disciplined bowling led by Auqib Nabi Dar and Sunil Kumar.
