Drug Peddler held in Baramulla, contraband substance recovered
Srinagar: Police arrested ad drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman said Sunday.
He said that a police party during naka checking on NHW near Eco Park arrested one drug peddler identified as Arshid Ahmed Sheikh son of Mohammad Maqbool Sheikh resident of Fatehgrah.
During his personal search, 135.5 grams of charas-like substance was recovered from his possession. Accordingly, a case has been registered vide FIR No. 03/2026 under relevant sections of law at Police Station Sheeri and investigation has been taken up, the spokesman added.
