Police seizes machines used in illegal mining trade
Srinagar: Police in Awantipora during routine patrolling seized four (04) L&T machines from Ladhoo, Khrew. The machines were found to be involved in illegal mining activities, a police spokesman said Saturday.
He said that accordingly, a case has been registered under relevant sections of law, and investigation has been taken up to identify all persons involved and to prevent recurrence of such illegal activities.
Police reiterates its commitment to strict enforcement of the law and urges the public to cooperate by reporting illegal mining activities, the spokesman added.
