Police arrests two drug peddlers in Ganderbal
Srinagar: Police in Ganderbal arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession, a police spokesman said Thursday.
He said that a police team at a checkpoint established at Central University Crossing, intercepted and apprehended two suspicious persons. During search, approximately 3 Kilograms of Contraband Powdered Bhang-like Substance was recovered from their possession.
The recovered contraband was seized on the spot in accordance with legal procedures. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 01/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation has been taken up to ascertain the source and intended destination of the seized narcotic substance, the spokesman added.
