Author from Shopian receives the Indian Legacy Award 2025
Srinagar: Sahil Bilal, author of the book “The Foundations of Character: The Five Pillars – Ethical Integrity, Resilience and Leadership from the Lives of Sahaba” (ISBN: 978-93-6976-016-9), has been honoured with the Indian Legacy Award 2025 by the Welred Foundation, a registered Section-8 organisation under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.
The award recognises his outstanding contribution as an emerging young author and celebrates his work in promoting character-building, ethics, and leadership through the lives of the Sahaba (RA).
The Foundation has issued an official letter confirming the award, along with an E-certificate, hard-copy certificate, and a trophy.
Speaking about the honour, Sahil Bilal said: “Alhamdulillah, this recognition is a blessing from Allah. I am grateful to my teachers, family, and everyone whose prayers supported me. This award inspires me to continue writing with sincerity and purpose.”
Sahil Bilal belongs to Landoora, Shopian, and is among the young authors representing Kashmir at the national level.
