Police arrests drug peddler in Pulwama
Srinagar: Police arrested a drug peddler in Pulwama and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
He said that a police party during naka checking at New Circular Road near Barpora Crossing intercepted a suspicious person. During search, 6 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Mohammad Yaseen son of Mohammad Ramzan Bhat resident of Kareemabad, Pulwama. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 284/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pulwama and investigation has been taken up, he added.
