S. KIE launches SATHE, Valley’s most ambitious scholarship initiative
Programme aims to empower students, support marginal communities
Srinagar: Saddam KIE (S.KIE) Coaching Institute, one of the Valley’s most prominent and time-tested coaching institutions Saturday announced the launch of its flagship scholarship programme “SATHE.”
Addressing a press conference here, the S. KIE said that the initiative has been described as the largest and most innovative scholarship scheme introduced in the region to date. For decades, Dr Saddam (Director, Saddam KIE Pvt. Ltd.) has contributed significantly to the educational landscape of Kashmir, producing an impressive number of professionals across fields; doctors, engineers, administrators, writers, politicians, social activists, philanthropists and thought leaders. Recognised as an institution that has consistently served the society with distinction, Saddam KIE (S.KIE) Coaching Institute has remained steadfast in its mission to uplift students from marginal communities while nurturing academic brilliance. In line with its commitment to educational equity and academic excellence, Saddam KIE (S.KIE) Coaching Institute unveiled its pioneering scholarship test “SATHE”, a first-of-its-kind initiative aimed at providing students the opportunity to receive 100 percent free coaching from the Valley’s most experienced and highly qualified faculty. Speaking at the launch, Dr Saddam, Director Saddam KIE (S.KIE) Coaching Institute emphasised that SATHE is designed to become the “sathe”—the companion—of students’ dreams, hopes and ambitions, enabling them to pursue their academic goals without financial constraints. The inaugural SATHE 1.0 examination will be held on 7 December 2025. The scholarship test is open to the students of classes 8, 9, 10 and 11 and NEET/JEE aspirants preparing for medical entrance examinations. Selections for scholarships will be based solely on the performance of students in the SATHE examination. During the press briefing, Dr Saddam, Director Saddam KIE (S.KIE) Coaching Institute also announced the launch of a comprehensive All-India Test Series, developed in collaboration with Sarthi, Kota (Rajasthan)—a name synonymous with excellence in competitive exam preparation. The All-India Test Series aims to provide local students with exposure to national-level competition and equip them with the skills, strategy and practice required to secure top All-India ranks in NEET and JEE. The first test under this series is scheduled for 30 November 2025. Dr Saddam (Director, Saddam KIE Coaching Centre) reaffirmed its longstanding commitment to supporting students from underprivileged backgrounds and creating pathways for them to excel. The SATHE programme has been built as part of this larger vision—to democratise access to quality education and empower the Valley’s youth through opportunity, mentorship and academic rigour.
