Hit and run case: Police seeks public assistance in identifying motorcyclist
Srinagar: Police on Thursday sought public help in identifying a motorcyclist involved in a hit and run case, a police spokesman said here.
He said that police received information regarding a hit-and-run incident at Tailbal Adda, where an unknown motorcyclist, driving rashly and negligently, struck a pedestrian identified as Abdul Rashid Gojri son of Abdul Rehman Gojri resident of Kangan.
The motorcyclist fled the scene immediately after the incident. The injured pedestrian was shifted to SKIMS Soura for medical treatment; however, he later succumbed to his injuries.
During the course of investigation, CCTV footage from the vicinity was analysed, and a photograph of the suspected motorcyclist was obtained.
