Police arrests three drug peddlers
Srinagar: Police in Baramulla arrested three drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
The drug peddlers have been arrested in Tangmarg. They have been identified as Adil Ahmad Wani son of Abdul Hamid Wani resident of Badran Magam, Showkat Ahmad Lone son of Akbar Lone resident of Qazipora Tangmarg and Sajid Showkat Mir son of Showkat Ali Mir resident of Handi Nowshera Bonyar. During search, 20 grams of heroin-like substance were recovered from their possession.
A case vide FIR No. 84/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Tangmarg and investigation has been initiated. The vehicle (Innova) bearing registration No. JK01AG-6930 used in the offence has also been seized, the spokesman added.
