Police secures conviction of two persons as community service
Srinagar: Police has successfully secured community punishment for two individuals namely, Sahil Ahmad Rather son of Manzoor Ahmad Rather and Mohammad Hussain Rather son of Ghulam Mohammad Rather, both residents of Kangan involved in a public nuisance case, a police spokesman said Monday.
He said that the action comes as part of police’s continued drive to ensure a peaceful and law-abiding environment across the district. The convicted individuals were found guilty of creating public nuisance in a drunken state, thus disturbing the peace and tranquillity in their locality.
Following due legal proceedings, the Judicial Magistrate 1st Class Court, Kangan awarded both the accused community punishment to clean the premises of JMIC Court, Kangan.
