Police arrests four gamblers in Ganderbal, stake money seized

Srinagar: Police arrested four gamblers in Ganderbal and seized stake money from their possession, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
He said that acting on reliable information regarding gambling activities at Badurkund, a police party of Police Station Ganderbal raided the specific spot and apprehended four gamblers.
They have been identified as Ghulam Mohd Mir son of Mohammad Jamal Mir resident of Buderkund, Mahraj Ud Din Khan son of Noor Mohammad Khan and Irshad Ahmad Shoda son of Ghulam Mohammad Shoda both residents of Giraj, Lateef Ahmad Shoda son of Ghulam Qadir Shoda resident of Shah Sahib Saloora Ganderbal.
Officers have seized stake money of ₹8590/- and playing cards from their possession. They have been arrested and a case FIR No. 165/ 2025, under relevant sections Gambling Act stands registered at Police Station Ganderbal and further investigation taken up, the spokesman added.
