Police attaches immovable property of terror handler in Budgam
Srinagar: Police attached property of a terror handler measuring three kanals and 19 marlas located at Dasan, Beerwah, after obtaining prior approval from the competent authority, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
He said that the property belonged to Fayaz Ahmad alias Gadda, who had exfiltrated to Pakistan and was found to be utilizing the said property for the promotion of terrorist activities in Kashmir.
During the course of investigation, it surfaced that the said individual was attempting to alienate and sell the land, with the intention of using the sale proceeds to further support and finance terrorist activities.
Accordingly, sanction under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) was obtained in case FIR No. 56/2019 of Police Station Chadoora, leading to the formal attachment of the said property, the spokesman added.
