Police launches Bhung destruction drive in Bandipora
Srinagar: Police in Bandipora carried out a large-scale destruction drive targeting the illegal cultivation of Bhung (wild cannabis) and other narcotic plants at multiple locations across the district, a police spokesman said Monday.
He said that police teams from various Police Stations and Police Posts launched coordinated operations in areas falling under their jurisdiction. The teams successfully destroyed wild Bhung crops spread across several kanals of land.
The drive was aimed at ensuring complete eradication of illicit plantations and curbing the source of narcotic substances at its roots, the spokesman added.
