Police recovered 4 Kgs of narcotics substance from shop in Beerwah, accused held

Srinagar: Police recovered a significant quantity of contraband from a shop in village Watalpora, Beerwah, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
He said that police received specific information regarding the storage of narcotic substances in a shop at Watalpora for illegal sale to the local youth.
Acting promptly, a police party accompanied by the Executive Magistrate, conducted a raid at the said shop. During the search, approximately 4 kilograms of contraband substance (Ganja) was recovered from the possession of Saddam Yousuf, son of Mohammad Yousuf Mir, resident of Watalpora, Beerwah who was later arrested.
Accordingly, a case under FIR No. 132/2025, U/S 8/20 NDPS Act, has been registered at Police Station Beerwah and investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
