Official websites of several crucial government departments face disruptions
Locals appeal for immediate intervention from LG Administration
Pulwama: The official websites of several crucial government departments, including electricity and water, have remained non-functional for several days in the Pulwama district of south Kashmir. The disruption has severely affected public services, sparking widespread inconvenience and growing frustration among residents.
Locals said that they are unable to submit essential land documents, pay electricity bills, or access other vital services.
“We are visiting government offices daily, but no work is being done due to the closure of these websites,” said a local resident.
“Land papers are not being processed, and electricity bills are not being accepted either. Everything is at a standstill,” he added.
The suspension of these digital services has not only halted routine administrative functions but has also compounded the problems of those relying heavily on online systems for urgent paperwork. The prolonged inaccessibility is particularly impacting land-related processes, where even minor delays can have significant consequences.
Citizens are now urging the Lieutenant Governor’s administration to step in immediately and restore online services across the district. They emphasize that swift action is necessary to resume normal functioning and prevent further disruption to public life.
As of now, there has been no official statement from the concerned departments regarding the cause of the outage or a timeline for restoration, the locals said.
