Over 100 volunteers attend one-day general council meeting of JKYF at Kulgam

Kulgam: The Jammu & Kashmir Yateem Foundation (JKYF) convened a one-day General Council Meeting at Baitul Hilal, Chawalgam Kulgam, with over 100 volunteers from across the Kashmir Valley in attendance. The meeting was presided over by JKYF Chairman, Mohammad Ahsan Rather.
The event featured two well-structured sessions aimed at reviewing the organisation’s progress and addressing key operational matters. The first session began with a warm welcome address by Pir Ghulam Mohiuddin. Mehmood ur Reyaz, Secretary Finance, presented a detailed progress report on the Foundation’s achievements and financial transparency. The session was anchored by Javaid Jawad, Programme Executive (Press and PR).
Mohammad Amin Bhat, Programme Executive Baitul Hilal Srinagar, provided an insightful overview of JKYF’s ongoing welfare programmes, speaking on behalf of the General Secretary Mohammad Yaqoob Reshi.
The second session, conducted by Mohammad Amin Bhat, focused on organisational issues and communication. Mohammad Rafiq Lone, a member of the Permanent Accountability Commission (PAC), addressed various challenges and shared recommendations to enhance organisational efficiency and responsiveness.
Chairman Mohammad Ahsan Rather engaged directly with the volunteers during an open forum, answering their queries and concerns regarding the functioning of the organisation. In his presidential address, he emphasized the vital role of volunteers and urged them to remain dedicated to the noble cause of supporting and empowering underprivileged students.
The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment among the volunteers to uphold the values and mission of JKYF in serving the society
