Police arrests drug peddler in Baramulla
Srinagar: Police arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
He said that a police team at a checkpoint established at Kalsari near Grid Station Pattan, intercepted a person identified as Jahangir Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Mohammad Wani resident of Kharnipora Tangmarg. During search 07 Sticks (194 grams) wrapped in maize cortex contraband Charas like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and, a case FIR No. 78/2025 under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Pattan and further investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
