Conference on preserving local languages, cultural heritage through NEP 2020 held
Bandipora : One-day conference on Preserving Local Languages and Cultural Heritage with respect to National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, was organized Tuesday by CEO Bandipora at the Auditorium of GHSS Bandipora.
The event brought together educators, policymakers and experts to deliberate on the transformative vision of NEP 2020 and its implications for government schools in the region.
Joint Director North, Directorate of Education, Hakeem Tanveer Ahmad graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The conference was presided over by Chief Education Officer Bandipora. Dy CEO, Cluster heads, Zonal education officers, and Heads of Institutions attended the conference as participants.Mr Gulzar Ahmad Khan Principal Hss Ajas provided a comprehensive overview of NEP 2020, emphasizing its focus on Preserving Local Languages through NEP 2020. He underscored the policy’s potential to bridge gaps between education and employability.
Sajad Ahmad Malla Tr Hss Bandipora, highlighted the importance of the mother tongues in accordance with NEP 2020. Anees Farhat Principal Hss Shadipora through his power point presentation highlighted the issues pertained to local languages and cultural ethos of this particular region.He reiterated that a policy should be framed by the Govt to preserve the local language,particularly in educational institutions with regard to NEP 2020.
Hakeem Tanveer Ahmad applauded the efforts of stakeholders in aligning Jammu and Kashmir’s education system with NEP 2020. He stressed the need for collaborative implementation and preservation of Local Languages and Cultural Heritage through NEP 2020 in government schools.
Cluster heads, Zonal officers, and HOIs participated in brainstorming sessions on practical involvement to preserve cultural ethos and local languages. The conference concluded with a vote of thanks by Javaid Ahmad Magray Principal GHSS Bandipora who acknowledged the contributions of all participants, dignitaries, and organizing teams.
He reiterated the district’s commitment to translating NEP 2020’s vision into actionable reforms to revitalize government schools. The event marked a significant step toward fostering an vision in preservation cultural heritage and local languages.
