Police arrests drug peddler in Kulgam
Srinagar: Police arrested a drug peddler in south Kashmir’s Kulgam and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman said Saturday.
He said that a police party during patrolling at Furrah near railway bridge Mibazar intercepted one person carrying a bag and roaming in suspicious condition. After checking, 2.1 kgs of Grinded Charas powder like substance filled in the said bag was recovered from possession.
He has been identified as Shahid Manzoor son of Manzoor Ahmad Ganie resident of Furrah. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody, the spokesman said.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No 36/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Qazigund and further investigation is going on, he added.
