Residential houses gutted in Sopore
Sopore: A double storey residential house was gutted in a fire mishap in Bulgam area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district early Wednesday, officials said, adding that another structure was damaged at Chatloora in Rafiabad
They said that a massive fire mysteriously broke out in the residential house of Ghulam Mohi Ud din Ganaie S/o Mohammad Bahar Ganaie, in Bulgam Khoie Sopore at about 03 am.
However, timely intervention of the fire and emergency services, along with the police and locals, controlled and extinguished the fire.
During the mishap household goods worth lakhs were destroyed.
An official also confirmed and said that the cause of the fire was due to electric short-circuit and added that no one suffered any injury during the mishap.
Similarly, a single storey Residential house of Shabir Ahmad S/o Mohammad Abdullah Shagoo at Chatloora Rafiabad got severely damaged during a fire incident.
The fire reportedly broke out mysteriously in the house and damaged property worth lacs, however after efforts of fire tenders with the help of locals and police the fire got controlled.
Meanwhile, ADC Sopore S.A Raina along with a team visited both the places and provided immediate assistance including food items to the victims.
Further ADC asked the Tehsildar concerned and Exen R&B Deptt to assess the loss and prepare a relief case without any delay.
