Online Naatiya Mushaira Organized
Srinagar: Idhara Tehaiqo Adab Jammu Kashmir organized a grand Naatiya Mushaira on its official WhatsApp page. The mushaira was presided over by young poet Gulzar Jafar, while Hasan Azhar was the guest of honor.
The mushaira began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Mushtaq Kosar. Dr. Altaf Hussain Yatoo, a key member of the council, welcomed the guest poets and highlighted the importance of Naatiya poetry and the council’s efforts.
Guest of honor Hasan Azhar delivered a detailed lecture on poetry and emphasized the significance of Naatiya poetry. Gulzar Jafar, in his presidential address, encouraged all poets and appreciated the council’s efforts.
The participating poets who presented their poems in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) included Gulzar Jafar, Hasan Azhar, Dr. Shahida Shabnam, Nisar Azam, Azhar Nazeer, Azam Farooq, Safdar Yousuf, Rashid Manzoor, and Riyaz Rabani Kashmiri. The mushaira was moderated by young poet and scholar Farooq Shaheen.
The council’s efforts in promoting literary activities and Naatiya poetry were widely appreciated by the participants.
