Illegal extraction of minerals, police seizes 11 vehicles
Srinagar: Police seized 11 Tippers within this week, who were involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
The vehicles (tippers) were seized in various areas including Ganderbal, Kheerbhawani, Lar, Safapora and in Police Post Nagbal. This proactive approach to curb illegal mining has been actively taken up by district Police Ganderbal along with the Geology and Mining Department thereby ensuring the individuals involved in such illegal activities are legally prosecuted. These seizures highlight the commitment of Ganderbal Police towards acting tough against these violators, the spokesman added.
