New Delhi: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh hosted a dinner for around 100 students from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh during the “National Youth Festival 2025” organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The gathering aimed to inspire youth to channel their innovative ideas into actionable steps towards building a “Viksit Bharat” as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Addressing the students, Dr. Singh encouraged them to explore regional resources for livelihood and StartUp opportunities. “Programs like the National Youth Festival offer a national platform for young individuals to transform their creativity and aspirations into tangible contributions to India’s growth,” he said.

Dr. Singh highlighted the enthusiasm of students from J&K and Ladakh, stating that their participation reflects the region’s dynamism. He called upon them to contribute to India’s development and emphasized the transformative impact their ideas and actions could have on their communities and the nation.

He also outlined various initiatives by the Ministry of Science and Technology aimed at fostering youth-driven innovation and entrepreneurship. Citing the success of StartUps in Jammu & Kashmir under programs like the Aroma Mission, which promotes lavender cultivation, Dr. Singh urged students to explore opportunities in biotechnology, agritech, and renewable energy.

The Minister assured the students of full support from the Ministry to nurture their entrepreneurial ambitions and convert innovative ideas into impactful ventures. He emphasized leveraging innovation and technology to address challenges and underscored the importance of engaging with diverse perspectives at the festival to foster national integration and mutual understanding.

Students shared their aspirations and ideas for addressing regional and national issues, to which Dr. Singh expressed appreciation, reiterating the government’s commitment to nurturing their talents.

The National Youth Festival 2025, held from January 10-12 in New Delhi, celebrates India’s youth as catalysts for progress. It provides a vibrant forum for young leaders to collaborate on solutions for national development and align with India’s vision of becoming a global leader.

Dr. Jitendra Singh’s interaction underscores the government’s focus on empowering youth from all regions, ensuring their pivotal role in shaping India’s future.
