Police arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla
Srinagar: Police arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from their possession, a police spokesman said Friday.
He said that a police party at a checkpoint established near Govt. Degree College Boniyar intercepted two persons identified as Manzoor Ahmad Bhat son of Habibullah resident of Bagna Salamabad and Mubashir Ahmad Khan son of Atta Mohammad Khan resident of Girdnawah Nowshera.
During search, 48 grams of contraband charas like substance was recovered from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to Police Station Boniyar where they remain in custody, the spokesman added.
He said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Boniyar and investigation has been initiated.
