Tral residents demand Development of Dilnag Park on modern lines
Pulwama: The residents of Tral sub division of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district have demanded the development of Dilnag park on modern lines.
The locals are seeking improvements and upgrades to make the park more attractive and functional, potentially boosting tourism and providing better recreational facilities for the community.
Noor Mohammad, a local social activist said that this is the only park in the whole Tral town and it needs to be developed on modern lines.
He said that people visiting ADC office, court and even the hospital have been waiting here but they face problems in the absence of facilities.
He said that there is a need to plant more trees in the park besides that special care needs to be taken of sanitation and water.
Shabir Ahmad, another local said that in the past one year, few works were taken up but much more needs to be done.
He said that being the lone park in the whole area the government must put emphasis on the development of this park on modern lines.
Meanwhile, the locals said that they have brought the issue into the notice of concerned authorities several times but so far no positive results have come to fore.
They requested concerned authorities to look into the matter immediately and take immediate steps in this regard.
Meanwhile, the Incharge of the park while acknowledging that there is shortage of the staff said that public must cooperate and they must avoid throwing waste in the park and they must use bins.
He said that the park needs to be developed further and the government is working on it.
