DC chairs RDD meeting to discuss modalities for PRI, BDC grants

KATHUA: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Dr Rakesh Minhas, Friday chaired a meeting of concerned District officers of Rural Development Department to discuss plan for PRI and BDC Grants for the financial year 2024-25 here in the Conference Hall DC Office Complex.

While discussing the plan, the DC emphasized on the need to take works on priority. The deliberations on construction of new classrooms, all plan should have more than 5 lakh to get tangible assets, construction of community library inside school, provision of Community hall covering more than 3 panchayats, clubbing of small lane and drain projects, large check dam projects, water conservation structure, pathway to tourist locations/destinations, health sub-centre buildings, handpumps, anganwari building with kitchen garden and other important works highlighted during B2V and Block Diwas programms etc.

The DC directed BDOs to adhere to the identified points while preparing the plan for PRI and BDC Grants, all government departments to be work in government building and the construction of new building should be in the same compound of the Panchayat so that all the government offices at panchayat level are available at same compound.

The DC also instructed the BDOs to make field work while preparing the plan, further asked them to finalise their plan well before June month ending.
