DH Samba conducts Endoscopic Tympanoplasty on 19 year old patient
Srinagar: District Hospital Samba achieved a rare feat on Friday when it conducted Endoscopic Tympanoplasty on teenaged patient, a statement issued by the hospital authorities said.
“Endoscopic Tympanoplasty Rt ear on a 19yrs old female patient who was suffering from ear discharge and decreased hearing since last 1yr was done in OT of DH Samba for the first time,” the statement said, adding that Dr. Deepshikha Sumbria, ENT surgeon, along with Dr. Anuradha, Consultant Anaesthesia, Dr. Santosh Gupta, alongwith a team of technicians Vijay Choudhary, OT technician, Darshan and Shubham carried out the procedure.
Endoscopic Tympanoplasty include minimal soft tissue manipulation, better cosmesis and reduced post operative manipulation and better graft uptake, it added.
The procedure was conducted under the guidance of Director health services Dr. Rakesh Magotra and CMO Samba, Dr. Vidhi Bhutial and supervision of Dr. Mohinder Kumar, MS Samba, the statement added.
