Police arrest drug peddler in Kulgam
Srinagar: Police in Kulgam arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman said Friday
He said that a police party during patrolling at Humshalibugh, intercepted a suspicious person carrying a nylon bag. He has been identified as Karleep Singh son of Bishan Dass resident of Bass Panchal Ramban. During search, 4.5 Kgs of Poppy Straw was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 29/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Yaripora and investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
