Illegal extraction of minerals: Police seizes two vehicles, arrests two persons in Baramulla
Srinagar: Cracking a whip on illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police seized two vehicles and arrested two drivers in Baramulla, a police spokesman said Monday.
A police party under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by SHO PS Sheeri seized 02 vehicles (tipper & excavator) & arrested 2 drivers namely Shabir Ahmad Malla son of Abdul Kareem & Anzar Ahmad Malla son of Shabir Ahmad, both residents of Sheeri Baramulla involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Sheeri.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Sheeri and further investigation has been initiated.
People are requested not to indulge in any kind of illegal mining activities from any Nallah as it is the violation of Government rules. Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law.
