Police arrests drug peddler in Awantipora
Srinagar: Police in Awantipora arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman said Saturday.
He said that a police party at a checkpoint established at Renzipora Crossing Awantipora, arrested a drug peddler identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Dar son of Mohammad Akbar Dar resident of Renzipora. During search, 630 grams of Charas was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly a case, vide FIR Number 36/2024 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Awantipora, the spokesman added.
