Illegal extraction of minerals: Police seizes four vehicles, arrests four persons in Baramulla
Srinagar: Police have seized four vehicles and arrested four drivers in Baramulla north Kashmir for being involved in illegal extraction of minerals, a police spokesman said Saturday.
He said that a police party seized four vehicles (Excavator, 3 tippers) and arrested 4 drivers at Khanpora and Dargam Baramulla, involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals. The accused drivers have been identified as Ghulam Hassan Waza son of Abdul Rehman resident of Sheeri Zandfaran, Mohammad Shafi Parra son of Abdl Ahad resident of Hamrey Pattan, Zubair Ahmad Dar son of Sonaullah Dar and Altaf Ahmad Dar son of Ali Mohammad both residents of Khanpora Baramulla.
Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Baramulla and further investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
